- 500 g amadumbe tubers, washed and peeled
- water (enough to cover tubers)
- Salz, nach Geschmack
- butter or oil for flavor (Optional)
Place the amadumbe in a pot and cover with water.
Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20–30 minutes, until tender when pierced with a fork.
Drain the water.
Serve as is, or toss lightly with butter or oil.
