Ingrédients

  • 1 kg chicken feet, cleaned and nails trimmed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1–2 fresh chili peppers, chopped (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped or 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp curry powder (optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 3–4 cups water
  • fresh coriander (cilantro) for garnish

Instructions

  • Wash the chicken feet thoroughly and trim the nails and any rough edges. Boil the chicken feet in a large pot with enough water to cover them and cook until they are softened, about 20–30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a separate pan, heat the oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onions, garlic, and chili peppers until fragrant. Add the chopped tomatoes or tomato paste along with paprika, curry powder if using, salt, and pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Add the boiled chicken feet to the sauce and pour in a little water to create a rich gravy. Simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the chicken feet are tender and the sauce is flavorful, about 30–40 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with pap, rice, or bread.
