Ingrediënten
  

  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, finely sliced (optioneel)
  • 1 kopje verse room
  • ½ kopje melk
  • 1 kopje grated cheese (cheddar or gouda)
  • 1 el boter
  • 1 tsp zout
  • ½ tsp zwarte peper
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs or thyme (optioneel)
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed (optioneel)

Instructies
 

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a medium baking dish with butter.
  • Layer half the sliced potatoes in the dish, followed by onion (if using), salt, pepper, and herbs.
  • Add a few dots of butter, then repeat with the remaining potatoes and seasoning.
  • Mix the cream, milk, and garlic together, then pour evenly over the potatoes.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle grated cheese on top, and bake uncovered for another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
